Days of Life
Becky Beasley’s new book / work Days of Life was first shown at her solo show Sleep is when you grow at Skuc Gallery, Ljublana in the summer of 2015.
Her earlier large-scale photograph Fig Tree (2001, Amwell Street) 2014, is beautifully reproduced here, fragmented across nine individual pages and combined with a prose poem by the artist. The work is a reflection on the limits of language and cliche in the context of the artist’s pregnancy and birth of her first child.
Each edition comes as a wrapped set of nine identical copies.
Edition of 21.
The book / work is available through Laura Bartlett Gallery.
Framing recommendations to create the plexibox display of the set of nine books can be provided upon request.
